Overview
HK 40 is a high-temperature stainless steel material with increased strength for more highly stressed applications. Good resistance to oxidizing or reducing process flow, along with good corrosion resistance. The service limit is 1875 degrees Fahrenheit (1025 degrees Celsius). The HK 40 alloy is good for weldability and castability.
Typical Uses
Calcining tubes, cement kiln parts, pier caps with temperature fixtures and hardware, radiant tubes, retorts.
