Overview
C93800 is a popular tin/lead alloy. The high lead alloys have score resistance, structural uniformity, shear properties, compressive strength, corrosion resistance, and a low cost. The Nickel addition in C93800 boosts the strength and ductility. This alloy contains 78% Copper, 15% lead, and up to 15% lead. The high lead bronzes are good for bushing and bearing applications. When it comes to machinability, it scores an 80, but it does not respond to heat treatment.
Typical Uses
Bearings, bushings, centrifuge bushings, gears, hydraulic parts, impellers, liners, piston rings, pump and valve components, sleeves, and steam fittings. Other typical uses include acid-resisting applications, pump impellers, railroad applications, pumps, and industrial centrifuges.
