Alloy Grade UNS: C21000 – Gliding Metal

  • Overview

C21000, or gilding metal, is a copper-zinc alloy with 95% copper and 5% zinc. This composition provides strength and ductility for shaping through drawing and stamping. C21000 has adequate electrical conductivity and resists tarnishing. Its corrosion resistance is moderate, with vulnerability to dezincification in acidic environments.

  • Typical Uses

Rolled bar, plate, sheet for making coins, medals, tokens, gun components, and plaques.

  • MetalTek Grade

    MTEK 210
