Alloy Grade UNS: HP-AF (Alumina Forming) – Heat Resistant Fe – Cr – Ni Alloy

  • Overview

HP-AF (Alumina Forming) is a specialized heat-resistant alloy composed of iron, chromium, and nickel, with carefully selected additions that promote the formation of a protective alumina scale. This unique characteristic provides exceptional resistance to oxidation, corrosion, coking, and carburization at elevated temperatures. The alloy's ability to form a stable alumina layer makes it particularly well-suited for extremely harsh environments where components are exposed to high temperatures, corrosive gases, and carbon-rich atmospheres. HP-AF offers a valuable combination of high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and resistance to carburization and coking, making it an ideal choice for demanding applications in industries where these properties are critical.
